The Walking Dead 416 – A
The final episode of season 4 of The Walking Dead, opens with a flashback to the prison. An away team has just come back in the charger. Hershel is there, Maggie, Glenn, Carl and everyone and things are good. We suddenly cut to the present time. Rick, is leaning up against an old suburban, by himself, with his hands and face covered in blood.
More spoilers follow.
After the opening break, we flash back again to Rick. Michonne and Carl’s camp. They’re talking about how hungry they are when Rick decides to go check the snares. They do a status check and determine that they are going to hang out another day or so before continuing to Terminus. Carl is wondering if they are going to tell the people at Terminus about who they are.
As they’re walking along a trail, they come across some walkers and promptly dispatch them. Next, we see the scene from the preview. Rick is showing Carl and Michonne how to set a snare trap when they come across a guy that’s surrounded by walkers. Carl wants to go help the guy, but Rick and Michonne stop him.
One of the walkers notices them in the tree line and some of the walkers head off after them. They fight their way through some walkers and eventually make it to the suburban from the opening scene.
Another flashback to the prison. Hershel is getting Rick and tells him that he needs help with something.
Back to Rick and Michonne. They’re talking about food and whatever when Joe and the merry brothers come out from the woods and put a gun to Rick’s head. Darryl is nowhere to be seen at this point.
After the commercial, Darryl comes out from behind the suburban and tries to make the case for letting Rick and them go. Joe, declares that Darryl is lying and tells the boys to beat Darryl to death. Then Joe tells Rick that they plan on “having the woman, then the boy, then they’ll shoot him.”
Things, get intense. Carl, almost gets raped.
Rick, ends up biting Joe in the neck and then kills a few of the others. Things get crazy.
After the break, we cut back to the prison. We get to see how the whole “Farmer Rick” thing started. Hershel wants Rick to get the feral pigs and grow some crops etc. so that Rick can teach Carl how to not be who he was heading to become.
We cut back to the Suburban.
Rick, is sitting outside, while Michonne and Carl are holed up inside. Darryl, comes back to the suburban and gives Rick some water. Darryl and Rick catch up.
Darryl tells Rick that Beth is just gone. Darryl tells Rick how they ended up there. Darryl was about to break away from the merry brothers until he saw that it was Rick and the others.
Rick, tells Darryl that it’s not on him and that it means everything that Darryl is back with them. Rick tells Darryl he’s his brother and Darryl almost cries tears of joy.
As Darryl, Rick, Michonne and Carl are walking along the tracks they come up to a sign that alerts them that they are almost at Terminus. They decide to head through the woods, since they don’t know who is at Terminus. They come up to the fence at Terminus and decide to case out the place to figure out what is going on.
Carl and Michonne go off on their own. Michonne, tells Carl how Andre, her son died. She tells Carl that Mike, her boyfriend, and Tony, her friend, had allowed her son to turn. Michonne tells Carl that she allowed Tony and Mike to turn as punishment, but then she noticed that the “monsters” couldn’t see her anymore, as long as she had her monsters for cover.
Michonne, tells Carl that he doesn’t have to be afraid of her and he doesn’t have to be afraid of his father. Carl, confesses that he is not afraid of his dad, but he is afraid of what his dad will think of him.
Rick, buries a bag of guns in the woods just outside Terminus “just in case.”
The gang jumps over the fence and walks into a building inside Terminus. They surprise some people that are working in a large warehouse.
They get the whole “welcome to Terminus thing” they get searched and then they’re walked out to the “welcome wagon.” They are about to be served some food. Rick is noticing that there are some things amiss.
Rick notices a guy with prison riot gear. He notices Glenn’s backpack, he notices Maggie’s poncho, he also notices that one of the guys that’s welcoming them has Hershel’s watch.
Rick, promptly grabs one of them, puts a gun to his head.
They lie about where they got the stuff from. They claim they got the riot gear from a dead cop, the poncho from a clothes line and so on.
Another flashback to the prison. We see the beginnings of the prison farm and how things got to the point that they were at the beginning of the season with farmer Rick.
Back to Terminus.
Rick and the gang take off in a barrage of gun fire. As they’re running, they run past several cargo containers and there are the sounds of people inside the containers. The gang is under gun fire, and running for cover through doors and buildings.
Every door that they go through, is marked with the letter A. It’s like they are being led through a maze. Along the way, they’re coming across remains and bones, and memorabilia of some kind.
Eventually, they end up in a courtyard where they are surrounded. They’re made to lay down their weapons and they end up in a railroad car marked with the letter A. Inside the railroad car, are Glenn, Maggie, Sasha and the rest of them.
Rick exclaims “You’re all here, we’re all here.” They exchange some pleasantries and then Rick declares that the people at Terminus are messing with the wrong people.
