This Sorrowful Life: Merle’s Last Stand
Lots of spoilers, and lots of poorly written sentences to follow.
Rick, at first signaled that he was going to turn Michonne over to the Governor. Eventually, he changed his mind, but it was too late. Merle, had already grabbed Michonne and was on his way to fulfill the deal.
Michonne and Merle are walking back to Woodbury. They’re having a heart to heart and Michonne is making Merle see that maybe he’s not as bad of a person as he may think he is.
Glenn asks Hershel for Maggie’s hand in marriage. Hershel says “have at it” or something to that effect.
Merle and Michonne end up getting into a scuffle with walkers while Merle is trying to hot wire a car. They manage to get away in the car after Michonne kills 2 of them with essentially her bare hands.
Michonne tries to talk Merle into going back, Merle says that he can’t go back and then sets Michonne free. Merle says that he has something that he has to do on his own and he pulls away, leaving Michonne on the side of the road.
Daryl, finds Michonne and asks her if she killed Merle. She tells him that she didn’t so Daryl, takes off after Merle.
Meanwhile, Merle is gathering a posse of walkers to take back to the meet with the Governor. Merle’s last stand involves many walkers and Merle shooting from a protected position. Merle, a trained marksman, took out a few of men and had the Governor in his sights, but Barry stepped in the way. The Guvna, is one lucky s.o.b.
Merle manages to take out a few of the Governor’s men but Merle gets taken down in the end. Merle and the Governor get into a fight and the Guvna bites two of Merle’s fingers off and spits them to the side.
Back at the prison, Rick comes clean to the group about the Michonne deal. Rick, rescinds the Ricktatorship and says that they can all vote on what happens to the group from now on.
After his speech, Rick goes up into the guard tower and sees Michonne coming back.
The show cuts back to the feed lot and we get to see what happened to Merle. Daryl, has to put his brother down.
