The Walking Dead Is Back! Season 2 Episode 8
We finally got to see the aftermath of when Rick shot Sophia’s walker.
Hershel lost his cool after Shane confronted him. Hershel wants Shane off his land, and Shane is still up in Rick’s face about what Shane considers to be Rick’s lack of leadership. It’s either lack of leadership, or Rick’s failure to realize that the world has changed for the worst.
Glenn and Maggie had a moment where Maggie wants to know what’s going to happen next and Glenn avoids answering her. Either he didn’t understand that she meant what happens next with them, or Glenn just thought she meant what happens next with the group.
The group engaged in the morbid task of burying the bodies of the walkers from the barn.
Rick had a fit like a little bitch about chasing a ghost in the forest. Dale has his reservations about Shane is getting more ballsy about expressing them to the group.
Carol’s words about Sophia dying a long time ago in the woods seem to have stung Darryl.
The gang had a service for their three people.
Maggie seems really pissed that Glenn is on the fence about leaving with the group when the group leaves.
The thing that is really creepy about this show, is that you always have a sense that a walker is going to pup up out of nowhere. Like when Carol came out from the woods when Shane was washing his head at the well.
Dale finally said that he believes that Shane killed Otis.
Rick and Glenn rode into town in Rick’s jeep and had a talk about Maggie telling Glenn that she loves him. They found Hershel at the bar and had a nice little heart to heart about there not being any hope.
Meanwhile, Lori decides to go after the boys, and ends up flipping the car after hitting a walker.
Back at the bar, some other survivors came in.
The other group of survivors wants in on the farm, but Hershel and Rick stood their ground on telling them they couldn’t come with them to the farm. These other survivors opened fire on Rick, and Rick shot them both. Hershel, Rick and Glenn drove home to the farm in silence.
Overall, I am happy that we got to see what happened after the shootout. I am very curious to see what happens next week.
